Today, the Food and Drug Administration of Kaifu District banned Hongxiang Soybean Products Co., LTD., a soybean product enterprise suspected of making stinky tofu without a license. More than two tons of soybean products were confiscated and destroyed on site, and nearly ten tons of raw materials were stored on site.
The soybean production company is rented behind a two-story house with an area of more than 300 square meters. The Food and Drug Administration of Kaifu District received a complaint and learned that the company's food production license had expired in February, but the company had not renewed the license, but continued to produce and operate.
Huang Jianjun, the person in charge of the production site of the company, explained that the existing production site could not meet the new food production requirements, and the production license was returned when it expired. The company is building another plant for upgrading, and the old plant has stopped working here.
The signs on the factory floor were contrary to what Mr. Huang said: On a board outside his office, the factory issued a permit notice, dated July 27, about a worker's violation of the law. The coal is still burning in the big boiler in the production shop. Boxes of stinky tofu are stacked in cold storage warehouses with notes labeled "July 28" and "July 26."
Rows of small white foam boxes are stacked in the warehouse. The foam box is sealed with adhesive strips printed with "Black Classic Tofu". Opening one of the boxes, the reporter saw two seasoning packs and a small box of colored marinated stinky tofu billets, accompanied by a hard ice pack, apparently freshly packaged and ready for distribution. As for the soybean product processing site, law enforcement personnel immediately shut down the finished products, sealed the raw materials, and imposed a fine of more than 10 times and less than 20 times the value of the goods worth more than 10,000 yuan in accordance with the provisions of Article 122 of the Food Safety Law on food production and marketing activities without obtaining the food production and marketing license.
